Comments: This was my second full distance IM race and the first race in CdA. Overall the organization was very good, but the course itself I found to be uninspiring, considering the location. Also, the hotels really gouge athletes ($400 a night for a $129 room should be illegal), so book early and shop around.

Comments: IF you look around you can find plenty of reasonable hotels. The hotel at the race finish will gauge, but there are plenty ten minutes from the start line that cost a very reasonable amount. There are also tons of community host homes in the area. The amount of spectators on the bike course is unbelievable.
